We count it a privilege to be involved in a part of what God is doing to call men and women behind bars to Himself. This is a ministry to men as well as women. We participate in a servant’s role under the leadership of Chaplain Harry Richardson, the local chaplain in Geauga County. This is a vital world-wide ministry that takes its cadence from Matthew 25:36…”I was in prison and you came to visit me”. (NIV)

  • The Gideons International, founded in 1899, serves as an extended missionary arm of the church and is the oldest Christian business and professional men’s association in the United States of America. The association has more than 250,000 members located in more than 180 countries of the world. They are united in carrying out the one objective of winning others to Christ. The primary function of the Gideons is placing and distributing Bibles and New Testaments in the human traffic lanes and streams of life. Gideons are laymen who stand shoulder to shoulder as “missionaries” of local churches and their pastors in going to the four corners of the world to win others for the Lord Jesus Christ.Gideons realize that an indispensable element in winning people to Christ is to present them with the Gospel message. We are honored to have faithful Gideons in our congregation. We support the Gideons prayerfully and financially so that they will fulfill their mission of distributing God’s Word “that all the people of the earth may know…” (I Kings 8:60)
